An Instagram money calculator estimates how much an account could earn each month from sponsored posts. UpGrow's free Instagram Money Calculator reads a profile's followers, post count, engagement and bio, then asks UpGrow's AI model for an estimated monthly earnings range in dollars. Treat the range as a starting point for pitching brands, not as a quote.
Enter the handle you want valued. Your own account works, and so does any creator whose fee you are trying to budget.
Press Estimate Earnings to start the lookup.
UpGrow fetches the profile, measures how its latest posts perform, and passes those figures to its AI model.
A dollar range appears, showing what the account might bring in per month from sponsored posts.
Write down the range alongside the follower count and engagement rate of that day, so later estimates have something to compare against.
The model doesn't see private analytics. It works only from what the profile shows publicly plus figures calculated from recent posts:
Follower count, the size of the audience a sponsor would reach.
Number of posts, a rough sign of how established and active the account is.
Whether the account is private, which limits what can be measured.
Whether it carries the verified badge.
Engagement rate, plus the typical like and comment totals per post, which show how strongly followers respond.
The bio, which helps the model judge the account's niche and the kind of brands likely to sponsor it.
Sponsored-post income varies too much for a single number to be honest, so the calculator answers with a low end and a high end. The lower figure is closer to what an account might earn with occasional, simple deals; the upper figure fits steadier work with brands that value the audience highly.
The range covers sponsored posts only. Affiliate commissions, product sales, paid community features and anything Instagram pays creators directly are outside the estimate, so an account with several income streams may earn quite differently in practice.
The figure is monthly, so it assumes a realistic flow of sponsored work rather than a single deal. A creator who takes on one partnership every few months should expect to sit below the range in quiet months and closer to it when several deals land together.
Run the calculator on accounts similar to yours as well. Seeing where comparable creators land makes your own range easier to place.
Niche. Brands in some categories pay more for the same audience size than others.
Audience location. Where followers live affects what an advertiser will pay to reach them.
Deliverables. A single feed post, a Reel, a set of Stories or a bundle of all three are priced differently.
Usage rights and exclusivity. A brand that wants to reuse your content in its own ads, or keep you away from competitors, should pay extra for that.
Negotiation. The final rate is agreed between you and the brand, and the estimate is neither an offer nor a payout.
Locked or empty profiles. With no visible posts to measure, engagement can't be calculated, so the estimate rests on far less information and is weaker.
Two accounts of the same size can receive very different ranges. Sponsors are paying for people who notice and act on a post, so a creator whose followers like and comment heavily is a stronger buy than one whose audience scrolls past. The calculator passes engagement to the model next to follower count for exactly that reason.
A verified badge and a clear bio help in a different way. They tell a brand who the account is and what it covers, which makes it easier to match with the right sponsors and easier for the model to judge the niche. A long posting history adds confidence that the account will deliver on schedule.
Brands decide quickly when the numbers are laid out for them. Use the range as a sanity check while you build a simple media kit and price list.
Put your follower count, engagement rate and average likes and comments on one page, with a few examples of your best posts.
Price each deliverable separately so a brand can choose a single post or a package.
List usage rights and exclusivity as add-ons rather than including them for free.
Ask what budget the brand has in mind before naming a figure, then use your range to judge whether the offer is reasonable.
Keep a record of every deal you sign, including what was delivered and what it paid, so your next quote is based on your own history as well as the estimate.
Re-run the calculator after a growth spurt or a strong month so your prices keep pace with your account.
Followers and engagement are the inputs you can actually change. A larger, more responsive audience moves the estimate and, more importantly, what brands are willing to offer. UpGrow's Instagram growth service is built to grow that audience, and posting consistently in one clear niche helps both the model and sponsors understand what your account is about.
Brands rarely buy just one photo. Before you quote anything based on your estimate, list exactly what the brand wants, because each extra piece of work or permission changes what the deal is worth.
Deliverables: a feed post, a carousel, a Reel, a set of story frames or a mix. Video usually takes the most production time.
Usage rights: whether the brand may reuse your content on its own channels, website or ads, and for how long.
Exclusivity: a period in which you agree not to promote a competing brand. The longer and broader it is, the more income you give up.
Partnership ads: permission for the brand to run paid ads through your handle, which Instagram supports through its branded content tools.
Revisions and approval: how many rounds of edits are included and how far ahead the brand needs drafts.
Link placement: whether a link sticker or link in bio is required and how long it must stay up.
